MEXICO: The US starts to fret again

The government responded equivocally this week to signs that the US is gearing up to become involved in, rather than merely supportive of, the Mexican offensive against organised crime. The Mexican government understands, even if the US does not, that drug-trafficking gangs are not the only terrorist threats it may be facing.
