Old guard still ruling the roost in Cuba

Almost a year to the day after Raúl Castro picked up the presidency from his ailing brother Fidel, he appointed three new Vice-Presidents of the council of ministers from the politburo. The younger generation was, with one exception, passed over for promotion once again. This runs counter to Raúl's rhetoric about renovating the Revolution in order to reach out to new generations.
