HAITI | Funding long-delayed elections. The US ambassador to Haiti, Pamela White, revealed this week that her government would provide US$10m to help organise elections to fill one-third of the 30-seat senate. White urged legislators to set aside their differences and approve a schedule and a budget for the elections.
