ARGENTINA | UK bans all military exports. On 27 April the UK’s business secretary, Vincent Cable, announced that the country would stop issuing licenses to companies for exporting military equipment to Argentina. The UK had banned exports of military material that could be used to reinforce Argentina’s armed forces in 1998. However, the exports of equipment and materials used for maintenance purposes were permitted.
