ECUADOR: Banks expect credit growth to slow

César Robalino, the executive director of the Asociación de Bancos Privados de Ecuador, said that he expects the growth in credit to slow down this year. He cited two reasons: the general world economic situation and in Ecuador, the government’s new tax on foreign transfers.
