COLOMBIA: An under-control boom
The government has reported a couple of encouraging economic statistics in the first half of February. The first was a surprisingly good inflation figure for January, traditionally the worst month of the year for price increases. The second good statistic was a very strong figure for foreign direct investment (FDI) in 2011.
