Trilateral relations weather the storm

Despite the release of files contained in the so-called ‘Reyes computers' pertaining to the Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia (Farc) activities in Ecuador and Venezuela by the London-based International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS), relations between Colombia and its two Andean neighbours, Venezuela and Ecuador, have remained stable. While the Colombian government has opted for complete silence saying it is "ready to turn the page", Venezuela has rejected the contents of the dossier by calling it a "dodgy" investigation and Ecuador's Rafael Correa has offered to take a polygraph test to prove he did not receive funds for his 2006 campaign from the Farc.
