Colombian Foreign Minister Carolina Barco has been trying out on a congressional committee the arguments she intends to deploy if Ecuador picks up her invitation to a 'frank' dialogue on drug crop eradication by fumigation. One is well known: that Colombia has verified none of the ill-effects of fumigation which Ecuador claims are visible along the common border.
