PERU: Reátegui gets off to a bad start

Peru's new interior minister Javier Reátegui has got off to an inauspicious start. He was forced to return to Lima from Puno with altitude sickness yesterday. Reátegui was scheduled to travel to Ilave, to preside over the committee set up by President Alejandro Toledo to investigate the lynching of mayor Cirilo Robles by an angry mob of Aymara indians on 25 April.
