The state congress in Morelos voted yesterday to ask the governor, Sergio Estrada to resign, at least temporarily. Estrada, from the Partido Acción Nacional (PAN), to which President Vicente Fox belongs, is at the centre of a political scandal after the federal authorities ruled that he had no case to answer over his administration's links with the drug trade.
