BOLIVIA: Inflation jumps

Inflation hit 2.62% on a monthly basis in February, more than twice January's rate of 1.09%. The main reason for the increase was a shortage of food supplies, the result of recent flooding. The food sub index rose by 4.77% in February and accounted for virtually all (2.42 percentage points) of the headline increase. In annualised terms, inflation rose a high 13.3% in February.
