COLOMBIA: Petro’s Cuban farewell

Colombia’s outgoing President Gustavo Petro used the last few days of his time in office to visit Cuba and condemn US interventionism on the island. Welcomed by Cuba’s President Miguel Díaz-Canel, Petro used his short visit to Havana to reject US interventionism and warn against a “war in the Caribbean”, calling instead for what he described as a “dialogue between civilisations”.
