ECUADOR: New national security plan unveiled

Ecuador’s government presented its security plan for the 2025-2029 presidential term on 14 July. The 190-page document states that the country is facing “a defining moment in our recent history, in which the State and society are confronted with a complex and volatile internal armed conflict”. The plan identifies seven core national security objectives which the government will focus on.
