*Paraguay’s central bank (BCP) has reported that the country registered a trade surplus of US$746.6m in the first half of this year, compared to a deficit of US$373.8m in the first half of 2025. Total exports reached US$10.16bn, up 23.6% on the same period in 2025. Imports in the first half of the year totalled US$9.42bn, up 9.6% year-on-year. In June 2026, exports totalled US$1.74bn, representing a year-on-year increase of 25.1%. Among the main products driving the year-on-year increase in exports were soya beans, soya oil, and beverages, alcoholic liquids, and vinegar. Imports in June totalled US$1.70bn, up 9.2% year-on-year.
