BRAZIL: Police arrest Rio senate contender in money laundering bust
On 7 July Brazil’s federal police (PF) detained suspects allegedly involved in money laundering networks in Rio de Janeiro, including Márcio Canella (União Brasil), a contender for a seat in the senate and an ally of right-wing presidential hopeful, Senator Flávio Bolsonaro (Partido Liberal, PL).
