*Argentina’s national statistics institute (Indec) has released its latest figures for international tourism, showing that 675,100 international tourists visited Argentina in May, up 17.8% year-on-year. Of the total number, 295,300 were day-trippers, up 14.7% year-on-year, while 379,900 were tourists who stayed for at least one night, up 20.4% compared to May 2025. Of the total visitor numbers, 64.2% came from neighbouring countries: 22.9% of the total came from Brazil, 15.7% from Uruguay, and 14.5% from Chile. The May figure is down from 755,000 international tourists in April, comprising 463,100 tourists and 292,000 day-trippers.
