President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva attended the G7 summit held in the French town of Évian-les-Bains from 15-17 June. Lula has been invited as an external partner to attend the bloc’s summits in recent years, which he has always used as a chance to reiterate his usual rhetoric emphasising the importance of multilateral cooperation and as a platform to hold bilateral talks with various world leaders.
