*Mexico’s national statistics institute (Inegi) has released the results of its monthly survey on the manufacturing industry, showing a 0.5% increase in production in monthly terms in April and a 1.9% rise year-on-year. This compares to a monthly drop of 1.1% in March when manufacturing production was up 1.1% year-on-year. Employment in the manufacturing industry decreased by 0.2% in April as compared to the previous month and was down 2.4% on April 2025.
