Argentina’s beleaguered cabinet chief Manuel Adorni made an eagerly awaited appearance before congress on 29 April. President Javier Milei attended the congressional session in person in an expression of his full support for his cabinet chief. Adorni, who is the subject of an illicit enrichment investigation, standing accused, among other things, of failing to disclose ownership of luxury properties, devoted most of his address to excoriating the previous government and lauding the achievements of the present one.
