BOLIVIA: Ruling coalition suffers electoral setbacks

Bolivia’s ruling right-of-centre coalition will govern two of the country’s nine departments after the second round of regional elections on 19 April. President Rodrigo Paz’s Patria coalition competed in three of the four gubernatorial elections which went to a second round but won only one of them, while the right-wing opposition Libre won in the country’s most populous department of Santa Cruz.
