In brief: Brazil and Spain discuss global taxation of super-rich
*Brazil’s Finance Minister Dario Durigan has met his Spanish counterpart Arcadi España on the sidelines of the progressive ‘In Defence of Democracy’ summit in Barcelona, Spain. España said in an 18 April social media post that he and Durigan had “agreed on the signing of a memorandum to globally promote greater taxation of the super-rich”. He added that “Spain and Brazil share a progressive vision and defend fiscal justice”.
