*Brazil’s central bank (BCB) has released the latest figures for its economic activity index (IBC-Br), which is considered a proxy to anticipate GDP figures, showing that monthly activity in February was up 0.6% compared to January while the accumulated annual activity for the 12 months to February was up 1.9% compared to the same period of the previous year. In monthly terms, the agricultural sector grew 0.2%, while industry was up 1.2% and services grew 0.3%. February’s monthly IBC-Br slightly exceeded the 0.54% median estimate of analysts in a Bloomberg survey.
