Ecuador’s Tribunal Contencioso Electoral (TCE), the electoral disputes court, denied an appeal on 8 April against a decision by the national electoral commission (CNE) to bring forward local elections so that they will be held on 29 November this year, instead of on the original date of 14 February 2027.
