VENEZUELA: Government and opposition cooperate over foreign assets

In an unusual case of collaboration, lawyers for Venezuela’s President Delcy Rodríguez, together with some from opposition parties, have jointly and successfully petitioned a US court for a 45-day extension in a case involving a dispute over the ownership of the country’s foreign assets and, in particular of Citgo, a US-based refining complex owned by Pdvsa, the state-owned oil and gas company.
