*Brazil’s national association of vehicle manufacturers (Anfavea) has released new figures showing that 264,100 vehicles were produced in March. This represents a 27.6% increase compared to the 206,900 units produced in February, and a 35.7% increase compared to 194,800 units in March 2025. In the first quarter of this year, vehicle production totalled 634,700 units, up 6.0% on the 598,800 units produced in Q1 2025. Anfavea’s figures also included the latest results on sales and exports, with a total of 269,400 vehicles sold in the domestic market in March and 40,400 units exported. This sales figure is up 45.5% in monthly terms and 37.8% year-on-year, while the export figure for March is up 21.1% compared to February but up only 1.1% compared to March last year. In Q1 this year, domestic sales totalled 625,200 units, up 13.3% year-on-year, while quarterly exports totalled 99,700 units, down 18.5% compared to Q1 last year.
