BRAZIL: Rio state police officers suspected of gang ties
On 11 March Brazil’s federal police (PF) detained seven state policers from Rio de Janeiro who are suspected of having connections to criminal organisations, such as drug trafficking groups as well as the increasingly powerful paramilitary gangs known as ‘milícias’.
