MEXICO | Trade deficit widens in January. On 27 February Mexico’s national statistics institute (Inegi) released the latest figures on the county’s trade balance, showing a deficit of US$6.48bn in January. This was up 24.3% on the deficit recorded in January 2025 and compares unfavourably with a US$2.43bn surplus in December.
