In brief: Colombia’s GDP growth slows in Q4 2025

*Colombia’s national statistics department (Dane) has announced that GDP grew by 2.3% in the final quarter of 2025 in year-on-year terms. This was below the 2.8% median forecast of analysts in a Bloomberg survey, and was down from growth of 3.6% in Q3 2025. In seasonally adjusted quarterly terms, GDP was up by just 0.1%, down from an increase of 1.2% in Q3. This brought total GDP growth in 2025 to 2.6%. The sectors which saw the strongest year-on-year growth in Q4 were artistic activities, recreation, training, and other services (+11.5%), public administration, defence, education, and health (+4.8%), and commerce (+3.4%). The best performing sectors in quarterly terms in Q4 were artistic activities, recreation, training, and other services (+4.6%), commerce (+1.6%), and mining and quarrying (+1.2%).
