Cuba’s government was forced to issue a warning this week to international airlines that they would be unable to refuel on the island for at least a month due to fuel shortages. The announcement prompted three Canadian airlines to halt all flights to Cuba, in a serious setback to the tourism sector, the mainstay of the economy, during peak season.
