*Brazil’s national statistics institute (Ibge) has released its latest figures for the country’s industrial production, which showed that in November production saw no monthly variation. Compared to November 2024, production decreased by 1.2% in year-on-year terms, while the accumulated production levels for the 12 months until November 2025 was up 0.7% on the preceding 12-month period. Of the 25 product categories measured by the Ibge, 15 registered monthly decreases in production. The greatest drops were seen in smoking products (-6.0%), various products (-3.4%), other transport equipment (-3.0%), extractive industries (-2.6%), and drinks (-2.1%). Meanwhile, the greatest increases were registered in printing and recording equipment (+18.3%), pharmaceutical products (+9.8%), non-metal mining products (+3.0%), metal products (+2.7%), and maintenance, repairs, and installation of machinery and equipment (+2.6%).
