*Chile’s foreign ministry has released new trade figures, showing that annual exports totalled a record US$107bn in 2025. This marks a 7.9% increase compared to 2024. The figures also showed that Chile’s trade balance totalled US$199.67bn last year, up 8.9% on the previous year. Mining exports in 2025 reached a record export value of US$63.25bn, up 12.6% year-on-year. This was mainly driven by a 19.3% rise in copper exports, registering an export value of US$36.28bn. The fruit sector posted US$8.63bn in exports, up 1.3% on the previous year. Exports of processed food totalled US$13.61bn, up 6.1%. Organic food exports totalled US$397m, marking a yearly increase of 19.6%. Exports of metallic products, machinery, and vehicle equipment totalled US$2.61bn, up 14.5%. Meanwhile, the forestry industry registered US$5.87bn in exports, down 8.8% compared to 2024.
