In brief: Remittances rise to Dominican Republic

*The Dominican Republic’s central bank (BCRD) has released new figures showing that remittances to the country totalled US$10.78bn in the first 11 months of the year, up 10.5% on the same period in 2024. Remittances to the country in November totalled US$889.5m, up 5.8% on November 2024. According to the BCRD, 80.7% of remittances in November were from the US, 6.9% from Spain, 1.5% from Haiti, 1.3% from Italy, and 1.3% from Switzerland, among other countries.
