*Brazil’s national statistics institute (Ibge) has released its figures for the country’s services sector in October, showing a 0.3% monthly rise in the volume of services provided. Although this marks a deceleration compared to the 0.7% monthly increase in September, the Ibge highlighted in a press release that October marks the ninth consecutive month to register a monthly rise in sales volume. In year-on-year terms, the monthly services volume in October this year was up 2.2% on the same month last year, and the accumulated volume in the 12 months through October 2025 was up 2.8% on the preceding 12-month period. All five categories measured by the Ibge saw a monthly rise in services volume, with the greatest increases registered in transport and postal services (+1.0%), information and communications services (+0.3%), and other services (+0.5).
