EL SALVADOR: Peace commission delivers plan to reduce violence

The Comisión Ciudadana de Paz y Seguridad Social delivered a plan to the government to reduce violent crime on 10 July. The plan is long term and aims to tackle the causes of violent crime. The country is averaging 10 murders a day this year so far. Fear of violent crime is the country's biggest problem, according to opinion polls.
