*Argentina’s national statistics institute (Indec) has released its latest figures for the country’s trade balance of goods, showing a trade surplus of US$800m in October 2025. This marks a decrease from the surplus of US$937m in September and from US$912m in October 2024. The total monthly export value in October this year was US$7.95bn, up 13.1% year-on-year, while imports totalled US$7.15bn, up 16.9% compared to the same month last year. Primary products posted a significant yearly rise in exports, with a monthly export value of US$1.91bn in October, up 63.8%. While exports of manufactured agricultural goods saw a year-on-year decrease of 3.5%, to reach US$2.78bn, manufactured industrial goods were up 8.1% to reach US$2.35bn. Argentina’s top exports destinations in October were China, with an export value of US$1.17bn (+241.4% year-on-year), and Brazil, with monthly exports totalling US$1.28bn (-2.2%).
