In brief: International tourism down in Argentina
*Argentina’s national statistics institute (Indec) has released its latest figures for international tourism, showing that 374,800 international tourists visited Argentina in September, down 18.9% year-on-year. Additionally, 267,600 day-trippers visited Argentina in September, down 28.6% year-on-year. Overall visitor numbers totalled 642,400, a 23.2% drop on September 2024. Most visitors came from bordering South American countries, with Brazilians accounting for 24.8%, Uruguayans for 18.7%, and Chileans for 13.5%.
