In brief: Paraguay’s central bank revises up growth forecast

*Paraguay’s central bank (BCP) has revised up its GDP growth forecast for this year to 5.3%, up from a previous (June) forecast of 4.4%. In its monetary policy report for September 2025, the BCP said the upward revision reflects “the greater dynamism of economic activity”, particularly in the primary (agricultural) and tertiary (services) sectors. The BCP maintained its inflation forecast at 4.0%, stating it was expected to converge to its 3.5% target in 2026.
