Javier Giménez, has announced that the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) is investing US$1bn in strategic projects including those related to the Paraguay-Paraná waterway and agroindustry. He made his comments following a meeting with Paraguay’s President
Santiago Peña and IDB president
Ilan Goldfajn in New York. Giménez said that the IDB had assigned the funds to products related to finance for companies that operate in Paraguay as part of efforts to boost investment, jobs, and growth for the country.
