In brief: Paraguay announces further fuel price cuts

*Paraguay’s President Santiago Peña has announced the latest reduction in fuel prices, lowering the price of all fuels by G$250 (US$0.04). According to Peña, this is the eleventh such fuel price reduction announced by his government. The latest reduction means that diesel sold by state oil company Petropar will cost between G$6,800 and G$8,600 per litre, while its 88-octane gasoline will cost G$5,740 per litre, 93-octane gasoline G$6,240 per litre, and 97-octane gasoline G$7,590 per litre.
