*Argentina’s state-run airline Aerolíneas Argentinas has been cited by the media as saying that 178 flights out of 295 scheduled for yesterday were affected due to industrial action by the country’s air traffic controllers’ union Asociación Técnicos y Empleados de Protección y Seguridad a la Aeronavegación (Atepsa). Atepsa has announced a series of scheduled strikes on various days between 22 and 30 August with services suspended at different hours depending on the day over a salary dispute with the country’s air navigational service provider, Empresa Argentina de Navegación Aérea (Eana).
