In brief: Colombia’s GDP growth slows in Q2

*Colombia’s national statistics department (Dane) has announced that the country’s GDP grew by 2.1% in annual terms in the second quarter of 2025. This was down from GDP growth of 2.7% in the first quarter. In quarterly terms, GDP grew by 0.5%, down from 0.8% in Q1. The strongest year-on-year growth was in the categories of artistic, training, recreational and other services (+7.5), commerce (+5.6%), and agriculture, hunting, forestry, and fishing (+3.8%). Mining and quarrying was down by 10.2% year-on-year, while construction was down by 3.5%.
