In brief: Inflation picks up in Colombia
*Colombia’s national statistics department (Dane) has published the latest consumer price index, putting monthly inflation in July at 0.28%, up from 0.10% in June. This brought the annual inflation rate in July to 4.90%, up from 4.82% the previous month. The categories which saw the steepest monthly price rises were food and non-alcoholic drinks (+0.82%), healthcare (+0.39%), and restaurants and hotels (0.35%).
