In brief: Chile’s industrial production down in monthly terms

*Chile’s national statistics institute (INE) has released the latest figures for its industrial production index (IPI), which show a 3.2% annual increase in June but a 3.6% drop in monthly terms. The INE’s June report also showed a 4.2% drop year-on-year and a 10.6% monthly decrease in the mining production index (IPMin), while the manufacturing production index (IPMan) was up by 12.0% year-on-year and 1.7% in monthly terms. Meanwhile, the electricity, gas, and water production index (Ipega) saw a 0.2% yearly decrease and a 0.1% increase in monthly terms.
