MEXICO | Unemployment rate ticks down. The unemployment rate in Mexico stood at 2.7% of the economically active population in June 2025, compared with 2.8% in the same month last year, with the number of unemployed people decreasing by 21,000 people, according to a report released by Mexico’s national statistics institute (Inegi) on 28 July. In the report, Inegi put the number of people employed in June 2025 at 60.2m.
