*Argentina’s economy ministry has released its fiscal statistics for June, showing that the public sector registered a primary surplus of Ar$790.53bn (US$626.68m), down from Ar$1.7tn in May, and a financial surplus of Ar$551.23bn, down from Ar$662.10bn the previous month. In year-on-year terms the primary surplus was up by 61.8% from Ar$488.57bn in June 2024, while the financial surplus was up by 131.4% from Ar$238.19bn. Net debt interest payments in June totalled Ar$239.30bn. The latest monthly primary surplus amounts to 0.9% of GDP, and the financial surplus equates to 0.4%. Total revenue came to Ar$11.58tn in June, up 41.6% year-on-year, while expenditure totalled Ar$10.79tn, up 40.3% compared to June 2024.
