*Honduras’ largest private sector lobby Consejo Hondureño de la Empresa Privada (Cohep) has released a bulletin which includes the findings of a survey of 1,015 micro, small, medium-sized and large companies. The survey found that 49% of respondents highlighted political instability as a “
serious obstacle” to business, while 57% perceived crime, robbery, and disorder as an “
important barrier”, with 16% of proceeds from sales assigned for security measures on average. The same survey also showed that 56% of respondents consider corruption “
a serious obstacle” for business activity.
