*Argentina’s state-owned energy company Energía Argentina (Enarsa) has opened the public bidding process for the expansion of the transportation capacity of the Perito Moreno gas pipeline. In a statement, Enarsa invited national and international companies to participate in the bidding process for the project, which will see the capacity of the pipeline increase by 14m cubic metres per day (m
3/d) to a total of 40 m
3/d. The successful bidder will oversee the operation and maintenance of the pipeline, which runs from the Vaca Muerta shale field in Neuquén province to Buenos Aires, for a term of 15 years. At the end of this period, the new facilities will revert to the national government.
