*Mexico’s largest broadcaster Televisa has released its financial results for the first quarter of 2025, showing net profit attributable to the company’s stockholders of M$319.8m (US$16.4m) down 66% on profit of M$951.8m recorded in the first quarter of 2024. The broadcaster, the world’s largest producer of Spanish-language content, said the quarterly loss was largely due to lower revenues from its satellite TV unit Sky. Revenue from Sky saw a 13.2% drop as compared to Q1 2024, while Televisa’s cable segment saw a yearly revenue drop of 3.1%.
