*Chile’s national statistics institute (INE) has published the most recent data for the consumer price index (CPI), indicating that monthly inflation for March was 0.5%, bringing the yearly rate to 4.9%. This represents an increase from the 0.4% monthly inflation rate in February, when the yearly rate was 4.7%. Out of the 13 categories measured in the CPI, nine registered monthly price rises with the INE highlighting rises in the categories of education (+4.9%) and food & non-alcoholic drinks (+1.2%).
