Milei notches up economic victories

It’s been a long time since Argentina’s economy has generated as much positive news as recently. Indeed, President Javier Milei seems to be on a roll, chalking up a host of advances following months of gruelling austerity measures. Gross domestic product is growing, unemployment is falling, and inflation is under control. The country chalked up a record trade surplus in 2024, while the government posted the first budget surplus in 14 years.
